East Texas teen cast in 'Big Bang Theory' spinoff
Hollywood keeps calling an Ore City teen, this time with a bang. After scoring a co-starring role in a Josh Brolin indie film, Montana Jordan now has been cast in a spinoff of the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," his manager said. Montana, who turned 14 Wednesday, will play the older, athletic brother of young Sheldon Cooper, the hilariously arrogant genius who struggles with everyday emotions and situations in the series, now in its 10th season. The spinoff focuses on Cooper and his boyhood in East Texas, raised by an intensely evangelical mother played in recurring episodes of Big Bang by "Roseanne" alumna Laurie Metcalf.
